🧵 Tufting, what is it?

Tufting is a rug-making technique where a handheld tufting gun pushes yarn through a fabric stretched on a frame, loop after loop, following a design drawn on the cloth. 🎨 It is fast, very visual and surprisingly satisfying: in one session you see your pattern fill up with colour. Once the tufting is done, the back is finished so the yarn stays in place and the piece can be trimmed into its final shape.
