Terms of Service

Welcome to My OT Life 👋, a free local guide to events, activities and things to do in Toronto, Ontario, available as a mobile app and website (the "Service"). My OT Life is part of the Ma Vie network of local city guides. By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

My OT Life publishes daily and weekly event selections, an events calendar, a map of activities, guides and practical information about Toronto. The Service is provided free of charge to users.

2. Accuracy of information

We do our best to publish accurate and up-to-date information, but event dates, times, prices, venues and availability are set by third-party organizers and may change or be cancelled without notice. Always check with the organizer or ticket seller before attending. My OT Life is not the organizer of the events listed and is not responsible for their cancellation, modification or quality.

3. Affiliate links and third-party services

Some links in the Service are affiliate links (for example Fever, GetYourGuide, Stay22 and Booking partners). If you book or buy through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Purchases are made directly with the third-party provider and are governed by their own terms, refund and privacy policies. We are not a party to those transactions.

4. User submissions

You may send us events, photos, videos, texts or messages through the "Submit an Event", "Share your Toronto" and "Contact Us" forms. By submitting content, you confirm that you own it or have the right to share it, and you grant My OT Life a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to publish, edit, translate and promote it in the Service and on our social media accounts. We may refuse or remove any submission at our discretion. You must not submit content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, or that infringes the rights of others.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it by automated means for scraping, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The texts, selections, design, logos and original photos of the Service belong to My OT Life or its licensors. Event posters and images remain the property of their respective owners. You may not reproduce our content without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use or sharing links to our pages.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, My OT Life is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the Service or of third-party services linked from it.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be published in the app with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the changes.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
